MOD installation

	When the 51 Royal Signals Squadron took delivery of 8 new Iveco 65C18 panel vans for transporting their mobile communications equipment, they contacted Hill View Awnings to discuss options for sheltered areas on each side of the vehicles for unloading and setting up their sensitive electronic equipment.

With the Iveco vans being the size they are, and in order to maximise the available space, we chose to install 16 4.5m 8000 awnings, one on the side of each van, complete with full safari residence rooms in extra large mounting height, giving a 4.5m x 2.75m floor area for each room.

	The rooms were modified to compensate for the curve in the vehicle from top to bottom thus ensuring a perfect seal against the side of the van.

This has effectively trebled the size of the van and provided a weatherproof area that can be erected quickly and easily, with plenty of working area as well as accommodation or storage area as required.
